Specialties
Ducon partners with you using durable and energy-efficient materials for sustainable construction, ensuring long-lasting quality with our expertise in ICF and SIPs technology.
Concrete Work & ICF
Specializing in residential/civil concrete: foundations, walls, ramps. Expert in Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) for energy-efficient, noise-resistant buildings. Partnering with NUDURA for quality ICF installations, ensuring energy savings and quick, flexible design.
Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs)
Offering Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) for residential/commercial builds. SIPs provide strength, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Customizable, they reduce construction time and labor, enhance insulation and airtightness, and lower heating/cooling energy needs.
Concrete Work
At Ducon, we take pride in our comprehensive expertise in both residential and civil concrete work. Our services extend beyond the basics, encompassing a wide range of specialized concrete applications. We are adept in constructing robust foundations, which form the bedrock of any sturdy building.
At Ducon, every concrete project is an opportunity to showcase our commitment to quality, durability, and functionality. We leverage our extensive experience and the latest techniques to deliver concrete solutions that not only meet but exceed our clients’ expectations.
Whether it’s a residential project or a large-scale civil undertaking, our team ensures that every detail is meticulously handled, from initial design to final execution. With Ducon, you can expect a partnership that brings your vision to concrete reality.
Insulated Concrete Forms
Insulated Concrete Forms have been around for 50 years and are used most often in residential buildings. Cast-in-place concrete walls sandwiched between layers of insulating foam will deliver superior thermal performance for years to come. ICF homeowners enjoy lowered home heating costs, fewer temperature fluctuations and improved resistance to outside noise.
Ducon embraced the use of Insulated Concrete Forms with the leader in Canadian ICF technology, NUDURA. NUDURA leads the industry in product innovation and is unmatched by any other Insulated Concrete Form. NUDURA is strongly committed to improving the building process to support environmental issues and reduce energy consumption.
NUDURA Insulated Concrete Forms provide maximum comfort and energy solutions for your entire home providing Performance Values up to R-50 resulting in energy savings of up to 70%, when compared to traditional wood building methods.
As a trained NUDURA installer, you can be assured that your building will be built to NUDURA’S standards by Ducon.
Once the footing is in place, ICF panels are quick to set up. NUDURA patented technology and innovative architectural shapes allow us complete flexibility in designing your building. Once Insulated Concrete Form walls are installed, a building project proceeds in a typical fashion. Drywall can be applied directly onto the foam. In areas where electrical wires are needed, it’s easy to put a channel into the foam to connect them to an outlet.
Structural Insulated Panels
A high performance building system, Structural Insulated Panels, SIPs, are used for residential and light commercial construction. Panels consist of an insulated foam core sandwiched between two structural facings, typically oriented strand board (OSB). SIPs can be fabricated to fit nearly any building design, resulting in an extremely strong, energy efficient and cost effective building system. The use of SIPs saves time, money and labour.
SIPs are one of the most airtight and well-insulated building systems available, making them an inherently green product. An airtight SIP building uses less energy to heat and cool, so smaller heating and cooling systems are required.
